Launch of the Asia Power Index 2025

Join Lowy Institute experts and guests as they launch the 2025 edition of the Asia Power Index, the Institute's annual flagship publication that tracks the changing distribution of power in Asia. The speakers will unpack the findings of this year’s Index and reflect on broader geopolitical trends in the region, including the impact of President Trump’s second term and growing coordination among authoritarian powers, including China and Russia.

Lydia Khalil will convene this conversation with Susannah Patton , Project Lead for the Asia Power Index, Richard McGregor , Senior Fellow for East Asia at the Lowy Institute, and Professor Bec Strating , Director of the La Trobe Centre for Global Security.
